Sydney Water Assets – 

The Australian average annual home consumption is 122.3 kWh or 6,360 kWh per year. Our Regeneration team, through the operation, maintenance and improvement of Sydney Water’s renewable energy generation program generated 86 GWh last financial year. That’s enough to power 14,000 homes!

Sydney Water is using the generation to offset energy costs. The renewable energy generated is approximately 21% of total usage, reducing the cost of water and wastewater for taxpayers.

PET with partners Stark Engineering Consulting, hold the Operations and Maintenance Contract with Sydney Water, which involves design, operation, maintenance and improvement of 8 cogeneration and 3 hydro assets. The cogeneration assets achieve nation leading average runtime availability of 95%, which includes all planned and unplanned outages. In 2015/16 PET and Stark generated, on behalf of Sydney Water the highest ever total since the program began, an achievement which resulted in an award from Sydney Water. Our technicians are specialists in their fields, with wider skills in problem diagnosis, rectification and improvement.
